We believe in flights of fancy, in magic carpets; in flying through the sky with a cape; and in a pig, a girl, and a spider contemplating the meaning of life. We believe in dogs that drive cars, and houses that get painted with the wildest colors--all of the classics that made us love reading as children.
Our mission is to produce books with a brilliant new spin on learning and reading, a fantastical twist in story, and memorable characters who light up our imaginations. From concept books to folk traditions, we want to connect diverse writers to young audiences.
We are currently open to all author/illustrators.
At this time we are unable to respond to every submission. However, If we are interested in your book, you will hear from us within 4-6 weeks. Please note that we consider each submission carefully and would love to support as many authors as possible. If you do not hear from us, you may also consider submitting your manuscript to our storytelling podcast for kids The Story Tree (thestorytree.org).

How to Submit
For standard submissions, at this time, we are only considering email submissions. The subject line of your email should include “New Submission,” the title of your work, fiction/nonfiction, and the genre. Please attach your manuscript as a Word document, a book dummy, and sample illustrations for the story. Email your submission to: editors@flyingketchuppress
