Ketchupedia is the outreach of Flying Ketchup Press ®, a grassroots network to connect the Kansas City, regional and national writers' community through weekly blogs, a writers word of the day podcast, a live poetry radio show, and two annual poet-in-residences including open mics, classes, and events. These tools allow artists to explore motivation, creative goals, and advocacy. Our editorial mentorships create an exponential artist-tree effect: we add another poetry editor each year; each new editor is then able to help another poet with publication. We believe in making room for poetry as a space for personal narrative that empowers, heals, and unites diverse audiences. Grassroots, artist-run, Ketchupedia helps writers "catch up" in the writing community by connecting them through online engagement and sharing resources. We connects artists with local organizations like book shops, community centers, galleries, and libraries to bring poetry to our region and beyond.

We'd love to hear from you
